Dog Clicker & Whistle Training

Last updated: September 20th, 2026

The short version

This app does not collect your personal data. There are no accounts, and nothing you enter — your dog's name, your training progress, your settings — ever leaves your device. It is stored on your phone and deleted when you delete the app.

There are no adverts. We do not track you, and we do not sell or share anything with anyone. We do use privacy-first analytics to count anonymous usage — which screens get opened, which features get used — so we can tell what needs improving. That is explained in full below.

Who we are

Dog Clicker & Whistle Training is published by Sedo Studio Limited, a company registered in England and Wales. You can contact us about privacy at info@sedo-studio.com.

What the app stores on your device

The app saves the following on your phone so it can work between sessions:

  • Your dog's name, if you choose to enter one
  • The training goal you select, and your dog's age and size, if you provide them
  • Your progress through the training programme
  • Your preferences — chosen clicker sound, whistle frequency, vibration setting, appearance

This information stays in the app's own storage on your device. We cannot see it, and it is never sent to us or to anyone else. If your device backs itself up to iCloud, this data may be included in that backup, which is covered by Apple's privacy policy rather than ours.

To erase all of it, delete the app.

What we do not do

  • We do not ask you to create an account
  • We do not collect your name, email address, phone number or location
  • We do not use advertising SDKs, and nothing in this app tracks you across other apps or websites
  • We do not build a profile of you or your device
  • We do not sell or share your information with anyone, and we could not identify you from what we hold

Anonymous usage analytics

We use TelemetryDeck, a privacy-first analytics service, to understand how the app is used. It records only things like the clicker screen was opened or a lesson was completed — never what you typed, never your dog's name, never your location.

What is sent:

  • The event itself (for example "Clicker.Opened")
  • Basic device information: model, iOS version, and your device's language and region
  • An anonymous identifier derived from your device, which is hashed before it is sent

We cannot identify you from any of it, and we cannot connect it to anything you have entered in the app. TelemetryDeck stores it in the EU, does not use cookies, and does not build advertising profiles. Their privacy policy is at telemetrydeck.com/privacy.

This is what lets us see that, say, handlers are getting stuck on day 4 of the programme — which is the only way we can fix it.

Purchases

If you start a free trial or buy a subscription, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple through your App Store account. Apple tells the app whether a valid subscription exists — nothing more.

We never see your name, payment card, billing address or Apple ID. Apple's handling of that information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Microphone, camera, contacts and location

The app does not request access to any of them. It only plays sound.

Children

The app is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Since no personal data is collected at all, there is nothing for a parent or guardian to request or remove.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have rights to access, correct, delete and port your personal data, and to complain to a supervisory authority.

We hold no personal data about you, so in practice there is nothing for us to give you, correct or delete. The anonymous usage data described above cannot be traced back to you or to your device, which also means we have no way to find yours in order to remove it. Everything the app stores about your dog and your training is on your device, entirely under your control, and is removed by deleting the app.

If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If we ever change what the app collects, we will update this policy and the app's privacy information on its App Store listing before that version ships. The date at the top shows when this policy last changed.
